The Department of Communication Studies of the URV is present at the AE-IC 2016 Congress: Communication, Culture and Cooperation
From 4 to 8 July a delegation of professors from this department attend this year's Ibero-American Congress of Communication (AE-IC), which takes place in Madrid.
This meeting convenes international experts to promote exchange of knowledge on the role of communication and cultural industries in international cooperation, in order to establish diagnosis on the current situation and proposals for joint public policies in this sector.
Enric Castelló and María José Romano presented the paper 'Compartir el trauma en la red. Discurso y mediatización de la memoria colectiva en España y el Reino Unido '; Carlota Moragas has exposed the communication entitled "Ser mayor de edad" cuando "no hay vuelta atrás": usos políticos de la metáfora en los discursos propagandísticos'; and Anna Sendra's paper is titled 'Análisis comparativo de contenido de los perfiles de Twitter que comunican información sanitaria', co-authored with Jordi Farré.
Meanwhile, Iolanda Tortajada participates in the assembly of the association and is presented as a candidate for the coordination of the section of audience studies and reception.
Since its fundation AE-IC has organized four major conferences so far: Universidade de Santiago de Compostela (2008), University of Malaga (2010), University Rovira i Virgili of Tarragona (2012), and University of the Basque Country / Euskal Herriko Unibertsitatea '(2014). At the end of 2015 the association had about 700 members.
