DEC participation in the Mediaflows 2018 Congress - Activism and collective action in the digital era: political communication and social change'
This congress intends to explore the role of digital communication for activist struggles from a multidisciplinary perspective: as an intersection of three disciplines, i.e. communication, sociology and political science.
Marta Montagut and Enric Castelló will present the communication 'Wildfires and Environmental Activisms. Storytelling and Framing in Organizations about Fire Prevention and Mitigation' and Núria Araüna, 'The individualization of collective action in the mediation of the Spanish feminist movement', all three representing the Department of Communication Studies (DEC) of the URV, at the congress that will take place on November 14, 15 and 16 at the University International Menéndez Pelayo, in Valencia.
For his part, Enric Castelló will coordinate, along with Lidia Varela (University of Valencia), the session entitled 'Framing and activism: speeches on the mobilization'.
