Geographical indications, strategic communication and the commons, in Loughborough
The coordinator of the Master in Strategic Communication and professor at the Department of Communication Studies of the URV, Enric Castelló, participated on March 21 at the International Workshop ‘Promoting the Nation in Troubled Times. Branding, Diplomacy and Strategic Communication in a Polarized Context’, at Loughborough University.
Castelló offered a talk on protected geographical indications, the territory brand, strategic communication and the notion of the commons. Thirty people attended the seminar and works and reflections were presented around the topic by experts from various universities and research centers such as University of Oxford, University of Southern California or Uppsala University, among others. Among the cases analyzed, research was offered on contexts based in the United States, the United Kingdom, Sweden, Ukraine, Romania, Turkey, Brazil, Colombia or China.
