Call for expressions Marie Curie Actions
The ASTERISC-Communication Research Group is seeking to recruit outstanding junior postdocs, who are willing to apply for Marie Curie Individual Fellowships (MCIF) 2020 call.
The applicant would join a dynamic group of researchers that takes a highly interdisciplinary approach to different areas related to communication through qualitative methodologies of communicative evaluation that place the audience as the main feature of communication and information processes; and methodological qualitative approaches that emphasize innovation and transversality.
The major areas of study that we feel encompass both the uniqueness and diversity of our team are as follows:
· Strategic communication in risk environments, which interprets strategic communication in the broadest sense to include: advice on political communication; institutional communication planning; design of corporate and institutional communication campaigns; communication committees in companies, government institutions and political parties; public relations in the above-described fields; and specialist journalism in politics (electoral campaigns and political crisis management), institutions, industry, health and the environment.
· Cultural studies, which analyse how expressions from popular culture are produced and received and examine how symbols constructed by traditional media and social networks are appropriated and reformulated by different generations, as part of a technological revolution characterized by the ubiquity of media and mobility. This field of study emphasizes the role of different actors as producers, audiences, prosumers, etc. These open and broad subject areas take in all our different interests, bringing them together while focusing on the aspects of each subject that are essential to our cohesion as a group.
The objective of this Expressions of Interest (EoI) call is to identify potential international candidates across these pre-determined research themes with the required profile to work with us through to submission of a full application to the Marie-Sklodowska Curie European Fellowship scheme in 9 September 2020.
Interested individuals are required to send an email to angels.galtes@urv.cat identifying the area of interest together with a full CV by Friday 10 July 2020. Information about the call:
